Womens Squad for WFC 2009 named!
The AFA committee and National Womens Coaches are please to announce the team to travel to Sweden in December to contest the Womens WFC 2009. Congratulations to the following players on their selection, we know you will do us all proud!

AFA Registrations Online Now!
The AFA is please to announce that our new online registration system through IMG Sports Technology Group is now up and running. This is now the only way for regular members to complete the registration process. Casual players may still register using the paper form available from the match organisers, and valid for that day only. Anyone wishing to register a social team, please contact your State Association for the appropriate form.

New Men's Assistant National Coach Appointed
The AFA is very pleased to announce that Andy Fenton from NSW has been appointed as an Assistant Coach for the Australian Men's National team. We are pleased to welcome Andy on board and the entire coaching and support staff looks forward to working with Andy on the road to APAC 2010 and WFC 2010.

AFA Website
The AFA is pleased to announce that the new AFA website is now operational. We hope you enjoy the more streamlined setup and level of available information. The website has a new calendar able to be updated. This should be operational shortly. The website will also have this week the ability for members to sign up online.
A big thanks to Amaru Medina from NSW for the work done on getting this up and to Barb Summers for the work she did with Amaru to get the site functional.

ACT Men's Coordinator Appointed
The AFA is very pleased to announce the appointment of David (Speedie) Speldewinde to the position of Australian Mens Team ACT Coordinator. David's role will involve helping to plan, coordinate and run training sessions in ACT for players hoping to be selected to the mens national team, scouting for new players with the potential to step up to national standard, assisting with training camps and disseminating information as required in consultation with the national coaching staff.
